Now there is a digital way to publish your content. I love it for the fact that you can advertise your work. This is the Christian cartoon tract magazine I always wanted to create. However, I always wanted to print it the old fashion way.
This is what we would call an eBook. You can share, embed, download, print, distribute, buy, and sell your work. I have thought about selling, but the problem is, I'm not sure what the price should be. I thought about making a guess, but I want the price to be right. Sometimes it's not about selling. Sometimes it's about sharing. Right now, I think the best way for me is to share.
To me, eBooks are a new digital technology. It hasn't been around as long as the old fashion printed books you buy in the stores. It is said that sales are dropping in buying magazines and books. I think it is because everybody can quickly get their news online digitally and free. People can read all of the info that they ever wanted to read on the Internet.
The great advantage of digital publishing is everyone can publish a book and try to make a profit. They can promote it and make a great sale. Professional publishing companies like Sports Illustrated and Time Magazine have gone digital too. The disadvantage is everybody is not going to be on top or be as big as the professional magazine and newspaper companies. There may be a little competition against the big publishers before long because everybody can do what they are doing. It seems the whole world is publishing.

When I first started using Google AdSense, I wasn’t doing well with the program at all. I was making sites and blogs, and there was no money because there wasn’t much traffic to my blogs. However, when I joined Triond, their program paid me for the articles that I wrote, and now they are paying with AdSense too. Since Triond is a very well known site with lots of traffic, I am making a little bit of cash with Google AdSense. I am making more than what I expected. Google AdSense is starting to work for me. Now, I have a big smile on my face. I never left AdSense because I knew that they were better than most ad programs. Having no traffic was my biggest problem. If you sign up for Triond, you will get paid to write and share videos and pictures. When you reach $50, Triond will send you a check. Separately, you will get paid when you reach a $100 by Google. Really you have made $150 altogether. With both AdSense and Triond, you have a choice to get paid by check or Pay Pal. The great thing about Triond, they will show you on your page how much you are making through Triond and Google AdSense when you log into your account. You can keep up with all of the work you submitted, how many people viewed each thing you have submitted, all of the comments that fans and friends made about your work, the total history of views on what you have submitted, and the total history of how much you have made on all of the things you have submitted. You can also narrow it down and just look at the comments, views, and earnings that you have for a particular day, week, year, and month. Triond also has a community where you can see your fans and friends. You can comment on your friends and fans posts, and you can also email them private messages. If you join them, you will have an inbox, and you can also add friends. At Triond, you can join their forum and ask questions that you may have. In order to get paid using Google AdSense, you must sign up and get an AdSense account or you can just get paid by Triond. If you have an existing account with AdSense already, you can use your existing account. Take my advice, Google and Triond are two money making programs that work great together.

Social Sites, Facebook, Twitter, Privacy
Today, I cancelled my Twitter account. Someone was following me with sexual content. You cannot follow everybody that is following you. It is not safe. I’m also with Facebook. It is said that you have to keep your guard up when using Facebook and Twitter. It is also said the criminals and marketers are finding new ways to use Twitter and Facebook. Criminals send messages to your contacts, pretending to be you. Sometimes I ask myself the question, “What’s the point in joining these sites?” Facebook is a fun and neat site. I don’t want to leave them. You can set your privacy with Facebook. Still, there could be danger. Everybody you know is there and people you don’t know and businesses. People are always trying to do bad things. Just when you think you can enjoy something, somebody wants to start trouble and spoil the fun. With all of the negative things going on with the internet, it can make you afraid to do anything.

DTV, Antenna, Analog Converter
Many people thought that their televisions were not going to work after television was switched to DTV. As long as you have cable, you don’t have to worry about the change. However, if your television set is not hooked up to cable, you get nothing but fuzzy dots, noise, and no stations. It turned out that no one that I knew had to get rid of their television set in my neighborhood. Some of my friends complained that they had trouble with their satellites. They told me that they had to go out and buy updated and new satellites. My friends went out to buy the converter box and still nothing worked. When I first heard that people without cable had to buy the converter box, I started to wait to see what was going to happen. I thought it might be a waste of time and money. I thought I wasn’t going to need it. Just before the change, I decided to buy the box because I had no cable TV in my room. Now that I have the box, I’m glad that I bought it. The analog converter box is a Magnavox brand. Stations are coming in that I never had before. I thought, “Who needs cable?” My television shows a bright, beautiful, and clear picture. It looks better than cable TV. The only thing I hate about the converter box is I loose some of the channels that come in. Some channels only come in on a rainy day. I am able to receive some channels without the antenna which is now hooked into the converter box. There are some channels that I can receive without an antenna. I’m thinking it is because I have cable television also in the next room. There is no outdoor antenna. I’m receiving somehow, but I would rather include my antenna. The antenna can pull in more stations. As I try to get some of the channels in, the converter box has an autoscan. When channels are found, it locks the channels in. You can also add channels yourself. Maybe in the future televisions will not need a converter or hook up. Technology gets better with time although the changes are aggravating. If it ever comes to the point that we will not need a hook up to TV, I hope that we can keep our televisions and that they will still work. If it is one day possible, it will be an awesome change. No more wires and plugs. I have too many wires and plugs right now.

Socializing on the Get Paid to Write Sites
Most of the time, we think of Facebook, Digg, and Reddit. These are social sites. You may find yourselves not posting much to these sites after awhile, but when you join a get paid to write site, it might turn out to be your best social site. There, everyone knows your style of writing and what to expect from you. Everyone knows what you write. You find yourself making friends and fans. Get paid to write sites could be your best social sites. With Facebook, Digg, and Reddit, you may run into some trouble. Your articles may not get rated. Comments are good but you may not receive any. On get paid to write sites, you find many people writing in your favorite category. It’s easier to find people just like you for some reason. Maybe because it’s all about people who write, and with sites like Facebook, Digg, and Reddit, it’s about everybody posting everything. Some people make an account just to go in and make trouble for everyone. They are not there to post, but with a get paid to write site, everybody has to write in order to be paid. They are doing what they are supposed to do. They don’t have time to bother anyone else. People busy writing have a goal in life that they want to reach, and that is to be good writers. Some of them want to start a career in it. When it comes to socializing, I like to socialize in the get paid to write sites because I write. Writers understand each other. You may find someone that has had the same experiences as you or has your style of writing. People in writing sites give good advice and help each other. That is what makes a great social and writing site. On regular social sites like Facebook, it’s really not all about writing. They are mainly about just meeting people and making friends and posting links. You don’t have to write anything. However if you want to socialize with other writers, it is best to join a writing site. People can overlook your writing in a regular social site that has everything you can name to post. Too many people are there with too many things to see and say. To me, there is a big difference in what I call social site and social write. I’m not saying that you should shun the regular social sites. It all depends on what you are about and what you like to do. You may be able to draw a crowd on a regular social site. Not all of us have received that gift.

It seems that Google Video is really YouTube. I think that they should be different. People use the YouTube videos in their article writing. It may take about a few weeks or a couple of months, but you will find the video removed. Your page is stuck with a black blank square. The viewers can still read your article, but they have no video to see what you were writing about. Google Video should have videos for people to see that will remain online forever. People should be able to use them for their articles and reports. I think Google Video should have music videos, news, movies, and documentaries for education. Videos can be very useful. Google Video should be an encyclopedia of video information. For example, if you missed a performance of Michael Jackson on the Grammy awards in the 80’s, Google Video should have it in their list for you to see as many times as you want to. The reason is, Michael Jackson was so famous back then, and seeing him on the Grammy awards is one of the most unforgettable entertainment times of Grammy shows. There are interesting documentaries that you may have missed or have seen only once. Maybe you would like to see it again. Maybe you would like to see a documentary about the real Dracula. There are some people that did not know that there was a real Dracula. That would be an awesome video for Google to keep online forever. I think everybody loves a great movie. Maybe there are old movies that you would like to see again. You probably can think of a million of them. How about “Sinbad”? There may be some newer movies that you would like to write a review on and to show in your articles. You want to use movies that will never be removed unless your article is removed. Have you ever thought about watching some highlights from your favorite basketball team? Maybe you want to see Michael Jordan again in sports. Whatever it is you want to see as many times as you want to, I think Google Video should have it for you to see without ever removing it. I think the videos should be very clear as well. Google Video should be another site for video, and you tube could continue the way it is.

driver's license, road signs, ID
When it comes to getting your driver’s license renewed, where I am from, you have to wait in a long line. The station is very small, and sometimes it seems to take forever. I have to go and read some signs. It’s just like taking a test, and I hate taking test. Taking a test makes me very nervous. There have been times when I have experienced something I call “memory jam”. My mind would go completely blank. You study every chance you get because you fear that you will flunk the test. Reading the signs is like taking an eye exam. I hate it. If you pass the test reading the signs, you get to take what I call a “mug shot“. You try to look your best on that day. It makes me upset when they snap your picture without warning. Your eyes may be half shut after they snap it. They will not even bother to let you take your picture over. Well, the most important thing is that the test is over, and you get to go home. In the future, I hope that getting our driver’s license renewed will be as easy as getting our credit card renewed. I hope that some day we can just automatically get it sent in the mail renewal time. There is just one thing wrong. They need your picture. Maybe in the future we can upload our picture online and get our license by mail. That would save us the long trip and waiting in line. However, doing it online so quickly could cause problems. The internet might make it easier for someone to make false ID. Instead of a picture, maybe we could use our fingerprints instead of a photo. Somehow it can be worked out. There are just some things in life you do not want to deal with. The traffic is bad, you get off from work kind of late, and then you have to rush right into traffic trying to beat the clock. It’s very tiresome dealing with certain things in life. I’m hoping that some things get a little easier along with new technology. Just knowing I can go straight home to my mail box and find my driver’s license renewed would be just awesome.

Some people may use their cell phone or tracfone for their house phone. While you are talking to someone, you may loose your connection. Have you thought about trying the little Magic Jack? You may use it for free for 30 days. It is a little plug-in that you plug into your phone. You may plug it into any USB port of your computer. Then you can pick up the phone and talk for free. If you buy it, it is about $39.95. After that, it is $19.95 a year. During your first year, you get a license to use the magicJack to call the US and Canada for free. If I heard correctly, there is no monthly phone bill to worry about. You will get free and local long distance, free directory assistance, free phone number, free call waiting, free voice mail, and free caller ID. It almost sounds too good to be true. The magicJack has been all over the news and advertised on television and Internet. Then maybe it can be trusted. Technology is something else. I am thinking about trying it myself. Just imagine no more phone bills. That certainly would save me a whole lot of money, but I still have questions. I have more than one telephone. Will it work for both? It would probably only work for one. It is said that you can block telemarketing calls with the MagicJack. That is good news. I wish that it could block ease droppers from listening in on telephone conversations. However, I guess that has to be another invention. The most important thing is that the magicJack can stop those telephone bills. It sounds like a real nock out product. It will also work with broadband internet service. That sounds great. However, it is not recommend using magicJack with satellite Internet. I’m thinking about giving magicJack a try.

Why do we blog? There are different reasons why people blog. Some do it for fun, and others do it to get paid. If it had not been for blogging, I would not have been able to introduce my art and writing to anyone. Blogging could help your website or business. When you don’t have much to post on your website, you may find something to blog about on your website. If you have a business, you can blog about your business. That will help people to know what’s going on in your business. Some say that there is no money in blogging. People want to get paid. So, many people started joining writing programs, and are still not able to quit their day jobs. Some people just make their own writing programs by making their own blogs. They hope to make cash with Google ads, and some do not make any cash. The problem is there are so many blogs that are not seen and are not popular. Joining an ad program to make money might not do you any good. There is not much traffic. I think blogging is great practice and can make a person a better writer. If you are just blogging for fun, it is okay. If you are blogging for money, that is okay too. If there is competition and everyone seems to be above you, do not go by what you see. You’re blog may not be as popular as others, but you may have something more unique than others. If you keep posting regularly, you’re blog just might rise above all blogs. If you love what you do, and if you do not give up, something great is going to come your way. Some one may be watching you and might be interested in your writing. You just might get hired to write for a newspaper. Anything could happen. Keep blogging.

Are social sites helping you? I don’t see what’s so great about them. Joining a social site is like another writing job. You might join lots of groups. The next thing that you see is tons of emails in your inbox for you to answer. You, the writer, would like to write and post for all of the world to see and leave it there while you are starting another article. Maybe you do not have time for too much socializing. Later on, you may find that there is no one clicking on your articles. You may have about 5 hits on one article that will remain only 5 hits for weeks. Your article may never make it to the front page on Digg, and you only have one or two votes on it. I once joined the site, Reddit, and someone kept picking at me about my articles. He made sure that my articles stayed down on votes. While this person was making sure he kept my article votes on zero, I was still getting paid from his visits. He would say cruel things to me and told me how much he hated my work. Then why was he visiting my work? My work could not have been all that bad, and his wasn’t all that great. This person was trying to tell me what and where to write as if he owned Reddit. Silly rabbit. Tricks are for kids. There are so many social sites to choose from. With all of the social sites you joined, the search engines may be your best bet. Search engines could help your content. Most of your traffic might come to you through search engines. When you are dealing with social sites, your articles might not do well if you are not interested in pleasing everyone with a comment. Even if you were, there is still no grantee that people will be interested in your articles. On most social sites that I see, I see lots of articles on politics. I’m not interested in politics at all. There are articles on politics that makes it to the front page. Politics seems to be one of the most popular categories. If you are not the type that is social, do not join a social site.
